Munnelly Logistics has been hard at work over at Victoria’s prestigious Cardinal Place project, and some exciting developments have already been set for 2017 with the assistance of Munnelly’s Delivery Management System (DMS). The DMS in place has been instrumental in the organisation of important deliveries to and from the site, whilst allowing for the bustling commercial and retail area to go about its business as usual…
Overseen by Head of Logistics at The Munnelly Group José Mattos, the DMS has been responsible for an impressive amount of key areas throughout the Cardinal Place site (with a login created for each company). The loading bay for buildings 80Vs, 100Vs and Portland House were shared; and there was a total of 5 bays to attend to in 80Vs, 100Vs and 3 bays to attend Portland House. “Our DMS system has played an important part in the smooth-running of this project, it ensures efficiency in the safe liaising of deliveries and allows for the local businesses – like Marks and Spencer - to continue receiving their supplies”, says José Mattos.
The effectiveness of the DMS has been apparent in the successful completion of a 170,000 m2 Cat A/B fit-out (in an occupied building); all whilst maintaining a 100% safety record, delivering on time and within target. The implementation of this system has received very positive feedback during site visits and reviews. Further to allowing for the safe interaction between the public, businesses, and deliveries within the area - a key part in the integration of any good logistics plan – it has also aided in other key areas, such as traffic management and security.
Further developments look in the works, and Munnelly Logistics strive to continuing playing an integral part. With excellent training and application, the DMS will continue being used and developed to its full potential.
