| Due to the logistical constraints on
modern construction projects, ICWM place the emphasis on
recycling taking place away from the project site at our
unrivalled recycling facilities in the London area. We have a
variety of partnering facilities at strategic points in the UK
to service our growing spectrum of projects and in line with our
ISO14001 Accreditation.
However to help the project achieve a target of 80 - 90%
recycling some segregation will occur on site of the largest
waste streams emanating from the project. Plasterboard in
particular is collected as a separate waste stream and
transferred direct to a plasterboard recycling facility, for
onwards use.
The aim of our recycling strategy The aim of this is to
improve environmental performance and reduce heavy vehicle
movements to the project utlising compaction. Our facilities
have the ability to distribute aggregate via road, water and
rail. |
