The Beetham Tower is a landmark £150 million development on the site at the junction of Deansgate, Great Bridgewater Street and Liverpool Road in Manchester city centre. Standing at 171m tall, it is not only the tallest building in Manchester, and have the UK's highest living space, but is also the UK's tallest building outside London. The project includes a five star, 285 bedroom Hilton Hotel from levels 5-23, and apartments

up to floor 50. At floor 24 the building dramatically juts out 4m from the floors below with a cantilever.

Munnelly Support Services carried out waste management and logistical support to this impressive project, ensuring continuity of works whilst managing the entire waste management on a logistically challenging project. Due to its height and the vertical transportation of waste vessels, Munnellys carried out a large proportion of the service out of hours. Munnellys achieved a clean and efficient project, through a carefully conceived waste strategy. This was recognized when Munnellys were asked to also undertake the waste management of the fixtures fittings and equipment, at the bequest of the clients contractor. In addition to the waste management, Munnelly carried out extensive material handling and distribution on the project in a 24 hour operation to enable materials to be successfully distributed to the work face. This was carried out throughout the floors towards the latter stages of the project towards the critical completion dates.
