One of their key differentiator was the consistent proactive attitude of their entire team from the individuals on the site to the senior management; they really made a difference in our ability to operate Incident & Injury Free.
York House is a mixed use development comprising of 10,100 m2 of offices above both 800 m2 of retail and 3,800 m2 of residential; all integrated in this high-end building.
One end of the building fronts onto the infamous Edgware Road whilst the other overlooks a residential Victorian crescent forming part of a local conservation area. The design of this 6-storey building addresses both settings, whilst meeting the demands of the buildings mixed use of office, residential and retail space. York House had adaptable and efficient floor plates that take advantage of the imposing island site close to Marble Arch. The building also incorporated, in part, the new head office for British Land.
Munnelly Logistics secured the logistics package on this prestigious development for British Land having completed the Plantation Place project prior to being appointed. Due to the success of Plantation Place, Lend Lease felt it appropriate to move the project team across to York House to aid with continuity. That being said, the project team hit the ground running with this project with many of the operatives working together for some time. This was crucial to the running of this project and the teams transition from Plantation Place to York House was seamless.
The logistics team excelled in the duties of this project, including traffic management, fire management, delivery management, security access control and finally waste management. At York House, we contributed to the successful gold award on the Considerate Contractors scheme with the waste management, in particular, being a great success. Reasons for this were the efficiency of the service supplied and the target recycling figures for the project. Munnelly Logistics’ quality of service was further rewarded with the fit out waste management for Bovis Interiors after the completion of the shell and core aspects of the project.
