T2b 5-a-side Tournament
On Tuesday 24th April 2012, The Munnelly Group hosted a 5-a-side tournament at Heathrow Goals for all Contractors and Sub-Contractors of the T2b project. After the success of the previous tournament in October, the anticipation for this event was high and some of the fiercest competition T2b had to offer turned up. The tournament saw over half a dozen teams enter with all proceeds going towards the ‘Action For Children’ charity fund.
Both the Munnelly Office Team and the Munnelly Site Team made it out of their respected groups quite comfortably only to be placed against each other for the semi-final knock out stages of the tournament. In a match that had everyone watching, saw the Munnelly Office Team being knocked out of the tournament by the Site Team with a 3-1 score line. Disappointed by the loss but proud that our Site Team had reached the final; we all stayed on to cheer our respective colleagues.
Fortunately, the Munnelly Site Team successfully won the final game and were crowned champions of the whole tournament. We are proud to have them flying the Munnelly flag. A special thank you goes to Andrew Bamling for organising the event and putting on a truly great show.
