Will Noble - Director
Following on the success of our first edition if gives me great pleasure to introduce the second publication of our Company Newsletter.
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read the first issue and for all the feedback we have received, this has been informative and useful for all involved.
The first quarter has brought about some new challenges and I don’t think anyone is under any illusion that this will be another tough year for the Construction Industry as the recovery from the economic turmoil continues. However we are delighted to announce that The Munnelly Group of companies has started the New Year with unprecedented success.
We have managed to secure prestigious projects for Locog Off Park Venues with ISG, the Shard Shangri-La hotel with John Sisk, 20 Fenchurch Street with Canary Wharf Contractors, and Goodman’s Field with Berkeley Homes. This has resulted in one of the busiest starts to the year that The Munnelly Group has had in recent history, and means that we are working on new projects with a combined value of over £700m.
What these projects reveal is that the Munnelly Group has a wide Client base, and has secured a varied portfolio of Hi Rise, Hotel, Commercial, Residential, Student accommodation and Olympic projects in addition to our existing pipeline of work. We hope to continue this success throughout 2012 and keep offering our Clients the innovation, and level of service that they demand.
In preparation for the Olympics we are now consulting with all of our Clients on their contingency plans during this period, which will inevitably have a dramatic impact on the ability to deliver project logistics in and around the London area. Security, Traffic & Delivery Management, Waste Services will all be greatly affected by the Olympics.
To combat this and offer our Clients the flexibility and service they require, we are pleased to be able to announce our consolidation centre service, which allows us to streamline the supply chain and receive, store and distribute deliveries during any time including outside of the hours affected by the Olympic routes.
We are also training more Security Guards and Traffic Marshals than ever before, and offering 24 hours & 7 Days a week logistics services to combat the enforced road closures leading up to and during the Olympic and Paralympic games. We are also booking in builders works prior to the Games, to ensure that our Client’s projects look the very best during this showcase experience. Please see the article on the Olympics period later in the newsletter for further information on our services leading up to the Games.
In closing I hope that 2012 is a fantastic year for everyone and we look forward to building on our early success throughout the year.
